My Story

Time to meet the Chowders! That’s right - Corn Chowder and Clam Chowder. Both buns were pulled from an Ohio cruelty case, taken in by a fabulous local shelter, then arrived at Dolly’s recently. Clam Chowder, the gorgeous white bun, arrived to them in the worst condition. Mites, swollen genitals, urine staining, EC, bite marks, bulging eyes, and tons of missing fur from being attacked by other bunnies. She was alone until Corn Chowder, her agouti sister, came back from a several week stay at the vet for extreme sore hocks and other issues. The Ohio shelter introduced them both and immediately Clam Chowder calmed down. She is no longer terrified, but now relaxed since having Corn Chowder live with her. This duo brings out the best in one another and Corn Chowder is opening up too! They’ve both got urine scald we’re treating them for, but then will be ready for a forever home. Their forever home must love adventure - because these ladies are always on the go! There is so much to see and so much to do. We can’t even begin to imagine how trapped they felt in the crowded hoarder home with 30+ other bunnies prior to being confiscated.
