My Story

Peanut and Emma are a BONDED PAIR and must be ADOPTED TOGETHER Hi there - Our names are Peanut and Emma, and we are a sweet and shy pair of bonded girls. We did not have a lot of opportunities to be around people in the past, so we aren't too trusting yet. But, now that we are in a foster family, people are giving us pets, cuddles, and treats! So, though initially we stay at the back of our x-pen when they open it, we will go up and give a nose boop and see if they have anything fun for us to play with or yummy treats to snack on. Peanut - the light brown one - is the more dominant one. She is also more interested in the snacks that are offered to us, and she'll go up to whoever is holding it out and take a nibble! She is the sweetest thing with a tiny lions mane around her ears. She is more adventurous and will let people pet her. Our foster mom said she gets in "bread loaf" position when being pet - she holds so still! So far, she prefers her feet on the ground, like most buns! Emma - the darker colored one -is more reserved. Peanut brings her the treats and shares the toys, but she definitely interacts with the family after she is given a chance to warm up to them. She LOVES a good stick to chew! She will come give a nose boop if someone puts their hand by her, but she is not as driven by food, so you can't coax her out that way! Usually because Peanut intervenes and grabs the food! Ha! On the topic of food, we MAY have gotten a little extra at the last shelter we were at and we are a bit chonky. Now that we have room to jump around and are getting good salads every night, we are trimming down a bit. We are working on our litter box skills, when we are outside our x-pen, we have not had any accidents! Our foster sister loves to make us toys, and we love it too! The digging box was great fun, and we love chewing on paper towel rolls! We are quiet but kind, no nipping or biting, even when being hand fed and picked up. We need someone to take a chance on us and show us some patience and love, and we would be a great part of your family! If you think we sound interesting, send an email to MCRS at --> [email protected] You can complete an application at --> https://www.mncompanionrabbit.org/adoption-application All MCRS rabbits are sterilized, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2. Thank you for being interested in adopting a homeless rabbit!
