They came into CARE from a 'backyard breeder' who was struggling to care for herself. They were living in a filty, tiny cage. :( Her boyfriend knew he had to get them into a safer, healthier place. He tried 3 places before reaching us and was in tears when we said YES!Addy & Maddy would do fine with older children, but are a bit shy at times. We think they would be overwhelmed with younger children. A calmer house would be ideal. If interested in adopting, email your application today! Adoption Fee: $150.00/Bonded PairNEW: ALL CARE rabbits receive both RHDV2 vaccines by Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Irmo, SC or Pet Vac Animal Hospital in West Columbia, SC.All rabbits receive an exam, RHDV2 vaccines x 2, dewormer, topical treatment for possible fleas, mites & heartworms, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. Each rabbit is fed high quality grass hays, fresh vegetables, high quality pellets, and some fruits. All of these expenses, often over months, cost way more than the adoption fee. Many vets charge $150 to $900 for rabbit neuters/spays alone.
