Laffy & Taffy

“If I fits, I sits.” Very small, very social. Earlier this year, Laffy and Taffys owners were going to “kill them humanely” if nobody took them that day. The family was moving and although they had months to find them a home, they waited until the very last day to ask for help. They asked if anyone wanted for butcher, for pets, or for rescue. They didn’t care where their bunnies went, just that they were gone by that evening. Or else they’d “snap their necks.” Even though full, we couldn’t let these brothers die, so stepped in to help. Our volunteer drove to the middle of the woods to pick up these urine soaked boys from a dismal rusty cage. Once healthy and neutered with us, their litter skills greatly improved and they began to shine! Both boys are also deceivingly tiny. Their foster mom says, “These boys struggled with their litter box habits for a long while, but they are much improved! 95% in the box. They are sweet, very playful and have fun personalities! They love baskets and try to squeeze in ones that are way too small for them both. If they find a basket, even if it’s decorative and filled with non-bunny things, they will empty it and claim it as their own. They also love to play with these stuffed carrots, they toss them around and have a blast. Perfect, little duo.” Laffy and Taffy have not had a single application or interested family, despite attending nearly all of our events.
