My Story

Hi everyone, my name is Dodger, and I was recently surrendered to the rescue. My family loved me but could no longer keep me as their allergies to me were more than they could handle. They tried everything they could from air purifiers to allergy medicine, but nothing helped and in fact things became even worse. I am a three year old lop eared bun who is neutered, litter box trained and healthy. I seemed quite friendly when I first arrived however after this being about the 4th place, I have landed in I am quite upset at this time. I do not mind gentle petting on my back and will settle in if you pick me up but I have become a bit protective of my home base and do not care for my face or ears to be touched. We feel so bad for poor Dodger as he was passed around several times before arriving here (per the previous owner) and now his whole routine was upset once again and he is acting out. We do not blame it whatsoever, but we do feel bad for him. He is used to having free roam in his previous home to being housed in an xpen which is a nice setup however not what this guy is used to. He also has to compete for attention with all the other buns needing care. Softly speaking with him and gentle petting will hopefully bring him back to the bun he was always meant to be. Dodger may well be a great bonding candidate for any spayed females searching for a friend. I think he could use the confidence of a female bun. Would you consider giving this passed around bun his final forever home?
