My Story

Do not let this adorable, sweet face fool you: Cannoli has a spicy streak! We thought we were getting a cute, docile Holland Lop, and instead got an energetic escape artist. She has escaped every pen she has ever been put in! She is an Olympic-level high jumper and climber, so her ideal home would have a room just for her, or a tall pen with a sheet clipped over the top when she is unsupervised. Cannoli is absolutely the sweetest bunny when it comes to people, but she is not a candidate for bonding; she just doesn't get along with other bunnies and needs to be the only bunny in a home. However, she is okay with other non-bunny pets in the house. Fortunately, this face would let her get away with just about anything, she has excellent litter box habits, and she doesn't chew walls, electrical cords, or rugs. However, she has already had some serious ear infections and will require vet visits for ear checks at least every 6 months if not more frequently. That said, anyone interested in adopting Cannoli MUST have previous bunny experience and agree to wellness checks at a rabbit-savvy vet at least twice annually. Want some dessert in your life, even if it's a little spicy? Apply to adopt Cannoli today! **OF NOTE** We do not, nor have we ever, reserved rabbits. Expressing interest and/or filling out an adoption application is not a guarantee that your application will be approved, nor that you will be matched with the specific rabbit in whom you expressed interest. We do our best to match the correct bunny to the right adoptive home so that they will indeed be a forever home. As previously stated, because Cannoli is a Lop rabbit, she will require a minimum of 2 vet visits each year to get checkups on her ears. Families considering adding Cannoli to their number should be aware that chronic ear infections are common in lop rabbits and may require regular administration of antibiotics. Our adoption fee is $150. This fee covers the cost of general and veterinary care and spay/neuter procedures with a rabbit-trained exotics veterinarian. We adopt to Connecticut residents, and on a case by case basis, Massachusetts and New York residents. All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Cannoli, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.everybunnycountsct.org/adoption/. Please give our volunteer team up to 10 days to reply to your application. We may reach out by phone or email. Thank you!
