Registered Name: Zoomey Blaze Call Name: Zoomey Color: Black Date of Birth: August 26,2018 PRISON TRAINED GREYHOUND Zoomey arrived from Ireland in May and has graduated from the Greyhound Advancement Center's training program at Hardee Correctional Institution. Zoomey is a 6 year old boy who is a settled dog, not puppyish at all, and is only 68 lbs., so he is a smaller greyhound boy. He is in beautiful condition, is friendly and quiet, likes to go for automobile rides, and will stand quietly for grooming, a bath or nail trim. He has a nice temperament, but he is not good with small dogs or cats, so he is best suited to a home with other greyhounds or only larger dogs. He gets along well with the other greyhounds in his foster home and should also be good as an only dog. He also would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He won many of his races in Ireland as well as quite a bit of prize money. He was an excellent racer, and was a Grade A dog in Ireland. He has no known racing injuries, He will be a great pet in the right home. At the prison, Zoomey was taught his basic commands. The inmates love the greyhounds for their quiet and gentle natures, and are able to earn certifications as dog trainers which they can then use to gain employment when they are released. You will get a well trained and well socialized greyhound and the inmates have the greyhounds for company. It is a great program for both the greyhounds and inmates. Zoomey's $500 adoption fee include his transportation from Ireland to this country, his neuter, vaccines, dental, microchip, leash and collar.
