Zoie

Zoie is a purebred adult Bernese Mt Dog with AKC registration. She was surrendered to our rescue by her previous owner, who had medical problems and couldnt care for her. She is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, comes when called, knows sit and down. Loves to play and cuddle, but also settles down nicely in the house. ~~ Zoie is a healthy and gorgeous 90 lb girl (tho a bit overweight), but she is also a bit of a "special needs" dog. She is extremely loving, playful, and affectionate with the people she knows. But she can be fearful and reactive with strangers. Therefore she will require an experienced owner who is willing to spend extra time and effort to help her manage her issues. She is best suited for a calm, quiet household with few visitors. *** We are looking for an adult-only home for sweet Zoie. Even tho she does ok w/ children, one just cannot predict what kids will do. ~~ She gets along just fine with all other dogs, big and small, and also is fine with cats. ~~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, and certainly never those "invisible fencing systems" ie shock collars.
