My Story

NAME: Zoey Sex: Female Color/Pattern: Black & White Breed: Siberian Husky Weight: 56 lbs Age at Intake: ~3 years old BDAY approx: 4/1/2021 Found date: 4/1/2024 Coat length: medium Description Zoey's big eyes are 2 different colors - blue & brown. She is loving, friendly, well-socialized and has good doggy manners. Personality Zoey is very sociable and cuddly. She loves to spend time with people and is very good with other dogs. She will give you lots of kisses all over your face if she gets the chance. Zoey has plenty of self confidence and understands what is expected of her. She adapted seamlessly to different foster homes and makes herself right at home immediately. She is an alpha who knows what she wants and is easy to please. Zoey is low maintenance, easy going, and well behaved. She doesnt need any training and has no bad habits to speak of, except maybe not wanting to share her treats with other dogs, but who can blame her. A dog who thinks life is good and is ready to share her enthusiasm. Background Zoey was found in Houston Heights on April 1 with a collar/tag. She was brought to the vet and scanned for a chip. The chip was registered under the previous owner, but the previous owner had rehomed her before she passed away. No current owner info was found. It seems that she was dumped. Her finder took her home and kept her in the backyard. She posted flyers in the Heights neighborhood, & waited five days. She was posted on lost and found websites, but no one claimed her. Her finder also went to and called the local vets (Thrive, Garden Oaks, Urban vet) around the Heights area to see if anyone reported a lost husky, but all of them said no. So she took her to the vet to get her ready to be rehomed. Zoey was transfered to a GNAR foster home when a spot opened up. Compatibility Dogs - Yes Cats - Probably Kids - Yes
