Zoey came to us from a very unfortunate situation. She was HEAVILY pregnant and was in a situation that was truly life or death. We were lucky to have found out about her need for rescue before something tragic happened.
Zoey raised 10 wonderful puppies and was a dedicated mom. She is now spayed and in a foster home all her own learning how to just be Zoey. Zoey would thrive in a home with routine and structure. She has the Dachshund stubborn side to her but thrives off of consistency and knowing what to expect. Zoey has done well with calmer dogs and appropriate introductions and would really love a buddy to play with. She attempts to get the kitties in her foster home to play constantly but they aren't as excited about that as she is. Zoey is potty trained and working on crate training. Her ultimate lifestyle is being a hot dog on the couch after a nice walk with her family. Zoey is so deserving of a loving home all her own and we know she will make a wonderful companion.
