My Story

Zoe recently came into foster care. She was given up because the famiy has a baby and no longer has time for Zoe.

Zoe is about 4 years of age. She's a real Heinz 57, her mother was a dachshund cross but you would not know that by looking at her. She definitely has lab in her and her tail curls up over her back like a Shar Pei but we can see other breeds in her too.

Zoe is a fun dog. She knows how to sit, down and shake-a-paw. She walks reasonably well on leash but can occasionally forget when there is something super interesting going on. Zoe is extremely food motivated so we are trying to teach her a few more things. She is learning to sit and wait to have her leash put on, sit and wait while the front door is opening, sit and stay for food bowl going down. We will try to teach her a few more tricks (like spin and speak) as she is figuring out the clicker quickly.

Zoe does extremely well in a house full of dogs and is very good with children too. Zoe is completely housebroken, vaccinated, spayed and will be microchipped shortly. She does not crate but was not completely thrilled with it at first, so we went back to crate training basics and she's going into the crate well. We will play a few more crate game, so she likes it more. Zoe sleeps through the night without a peep.

Zoe would make a good addition to any family and would be fine with any temperament of canine companion. Why don't you give this girl a chance?
Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
