Zoe was rescued from Dallas, TX and brought to a shelter in Arkansas. For the last 8 months, Zoe has been experiencing new outdoor adventures in Vermont, and is now looking for her permanent home. What Zoe loves – running, hiking, playing with other dogs off leash, treats/food, and she recently learned how to swim! She loves being pet, cuddly blankets, and napping on the couch or the bed – the softer the better. What Zoe doesn’t love – being on leash, feeling stuck or trapped, critters (squirrels, birds, woodchucks), bicycles or anything with wheels. Zoe has had 3-4 months of professional dog training and is very receptive to working for rewards. She is a good listener when there are limited distractions, but her genes can make her stubborn and independent. Where Zoe would thrive – a house with a big yard, or a farm-like setting with plenty of room to run. A fenced-in yard, or electric fence, would be great. She would be so happy to have one or more other, well-behaved, dogs at home to play with. She has limited experience with children, but has never had any issues with them. Most importantly, she needs a family that will provide her with consistent training to work through her fear and anxiety of the things she doesn’t love. Zoe is most happy when she is off-leash, outside, and relaxed. Please reach out if you want to welcome this adorable and energetic young dog into your family.
