Hello-I'm Zoe!! I am on the small side of medium now that I have lost a bunch of chub! I came into the shelter about 20lbs overweight...the shelter ladies said my sisters and I looked like a bunch of little black pigs! That was NOT very nice...they gave me a complex! But now I am down to a slim and trim 30lbs (approx) and I have a waistline! Doesn't it look great! I am about 2 yrs old, and they don't know what I am...they think maybe a corgi mix or something small, because I sure don't look like a lab, but my colors and face look pretty labby, but my size sure doesn't. I am shy at first, but am very lovable and would love to be your newest lapdog!!! Zoe was heartworm positive, but thanks to some caring people, enough money was donated to cover my heartworm treatment and I am all better now!!!

Included: Parvo/Disemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza vaccinations as well as: Rabies Vaccination & Certificate (for dogs 16 weeks or older), Bordatella Vaccine, Worming, spay/neuter and transport from Arkansas to Maine on a USDA approved transport. All dogs ar issued an interstate Health Certificate. All dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to leaving Arkansas to make sure they are not carrying any contagious diseases.

I am very smart and obedient. If you adopt me, I promise to be your best friend and loyal companion and not cause any trouble. They don' t know my breed, but I have a bunch of siblings all taken from the same place, we are all short and stocky and look to maybe have corgie and lab and maybe some other stuff in us!

This dog is Urgent because the shelter it is in is in Arkansas and is overfull, therefore dogs and puppies alike are on the euthanasia list. Please do not ask local shelters to take this dog in, there are many reasons why they cannot. Please also do not send us nasty letters about why we euthanize, this is not our choice, we do not euthanize, but the shelters we work with do. We are a rescue and we pull as many of them as we have foster homes and funds for. We, like the shelter, do not have unlimited resources. Please, please: foster, adopt or sponsor a dog to help save their lives.

HOMES CONSIDERING PUPPIES MUST BE PREPARED FOR:

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES FOR POTTY TRAINING-THEY CAN ONLY "HOLD" IT FOR ONE HOUR PER MONTH OF AGE.

CRATE TRAINING FOR THE NEXT 10 MONTHS TO KEEP THEM FROM CHEWING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.

SUPERVISION WITH CHILDREN, AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING.

SOCIALIZATION-A GOOD DOG MUST BE EXPOSED TO ALOT OF STIMULUS AS A PUPPY SO THAT NEW PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENTS DO NOT INTIMIDATE THEM AS ADULTS. THE MORE POSITIVE EXPERIENCES -IN AND OUT OF THE HOME- AS A PUPPY, THE BETTER.

HOMES THAT WANT TO HAVE GOOD DOGS, MUST BE PREPARED TO PUT THE TIME AND EFFORT INTO TRAINING A PUPPY. IT IS ALOT OF WORK!!! THEIR BEHAVIOR AND STAGES ARE EQUIVILENT TO A 2 OR 3 YEAR OLD CHILD. IT TAKES A FULL YEAR TO HAVE A CALMER, WELL ADJUSTED DOG! PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER ADOPTING IF YOU HAVE NOT THOROUGHLY THOUGHT THROUGH THE PROS AND CONS OF A PUPPY...SO MANY PEOPLE END UP RETURNING THEM IN 3-5 MONTHS BECAUSE IT IS CHEWING, JUMPING AND HYPER. THIS IS NORMAL PUPPY BEHAVIOR.

PATIENCE, CHEWIES, SOCIALIZATION, SUPERVISION AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS A MUST!!
