Ziva (DR7234)

This sweet girl is Ziva! She is a two year old Terrier Mix who came to us, with her 6 puppies, after she was found with a chain embedded into her neck. She has since had surgery to repair the wound and she is doing amazing! The only thing remaining is the purple wound spray, which is slowly but surely fading. She is now looking for a foster-to-adopt home that will give her love and support while she jumps her next hurdle, heartworm treatment. Because she is positive for the disease, we can't release her for adoption until she is treated. This is about a three month process and we're looking for someone to foster her until she's available. Ziva has been a happy girl with everyone she meets, always greeting you with a smile. She doesn't seem to mind most other dogs, but we're unsure how she is with cats. She's a sweet and affectionate girl, flopping right over for belly rubs. She loves to be outside, going for walks and exploring. Because Ziva has lived her entire life on a chain, she isn't use to being kenneled and is working on crate training. She does know to go outside to potty though, and rarely has an accident.
