Zevi

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Zevi. Zevi is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Zevi! Zevi is a 3 year old, male GSD / Husky mix who currently weighs 60 pounds. Zevi is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and ready to find a family to call his own! Zevi is being surrendered to us because his owners couldn't afford to take care of him. Here's a small blurb about Zevi from his foster family: Zevi is quite the character! We like to call him Rocky the Raccoon because of the cute mask on his face! He does an adorable bunny rabbit hop when he's excited. He knows "sit" and "paw". He is SO happy and friendly and enjoys walks through the neighborhood so he can make new friends! Zevi is dog friendly, but he comes on a little strong when meeting new dogs. He lived with a dog previously who he absolutely adored. We had him evaluated by a trainer and they said he was an overly confident dog. He would love a family who can slowly introduce him to another resident dog or a family without other dogs in the home. We would like to repeat that he is NOT aggressive. He LOVES playing through the wrought iron fence with the neighbor's dogs. We would say that Zevi has a moderate energy level. He would love a family with a backyard OR someone who will take him out on adventures. His current fosters are in their 50-60's and have no problem handling him. He's happy to go for walks, but also relaxes inside when it's time to settle. Zevi has never been around cats, so we're not sure how he would react to them. Zevi LOVES kids! He currently lives with a 2 year old and a 5 year old who he absolutely adores. The youngest we've seen Zevi around is a 4 month old and all he does is sniff. Zevi walks great on a leash. He will stay calmly by your side. Zevi is fully potty trained! He is a gentleman and makes sure to only do his business outside. Zevi is crate trained and does well in the crate while his foster family is away from the home for work or errands. Zevi is great about sharing his toys, food, bones and treats with other dogs in the house. He loves playing fetch and hopes his forever family enjoys playing as much as he does!
