CONTACT: ELAINE @ [email protected] I love playing with my sister Athena, chasing the other household dogs and experimenting with new toys - although I am only about 4mos old, i am learning to go outside to potty and to walk on a leash - i am not perfect with either one yet, but i will learn these things - i am loving, well socialized and happy - due to my young age i love to chew on lots of things, but my foster mom says NO in a loud voice and gives me a bone or toy when i chew on the wrong stuff - i do what she asks but sometimes i get tired of it and find something else more interesting - so we do the game again and again - i am learning this stuff too, so you probably won't have to say No in a loud voice for too much longer - my teeth tell me to chew on stuff - honestly! - i would love to have my sister Athena with me always, but if this is not possible, i would like to have a dog companion who is kind and loves to play and who won't boss me too much - perhaps s/he could show me how to behave well - if you have children in the house they should not pull my ears or poke me - they should be at least 10 years old - i think human children take a long time to learn how to be good friends to dogs and other animals, and i know i would not like them to bother me - i am sweet to humans, sometimes nibble on them to check how they taste, and love to snuggle on their lap for a gentle cuddle and ear rub - then i feel right at home and happy - i even go to sleep that way in the evening - i won't grow too large but i think i will be a good size to go for walks on leash and to play in the small dog side of the dog park - i will try my best to be the happiest, friendliest, lovingest dog you could want Preferred Home: a family with children 10yrs or older who have time to give to a puppy who is sweet, gentle and loving, with energy to share and eagerness to discover the world around him - if you are open to puppy training and to nurturing a naive and totally happy with the world small dog, Zeus might be your cup of tea - does need a dog companion and should not be an only dog. Special arrangements for adopters out of Albuquerque must be made in advance, but out-of-town adoptions may not be possible. If you live outside of Albuquerque, please call the NMAF office at (505)881-7297 to ask about an out-of-town home visit before traveling to Albuquerque to attend an adoption clinic.
