These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. He barks at other dogs to get their attention, but it's harmless because he just wants to be friends with most of them. Good with cats: unknown Housetrained: yes Crate trained: yes, but would rather not be in it and be free to roam around. Can be handled/touched: yes, loves affection. Energy level: medium/high. He is active & will love a family who will give him tons of exercise or dog siblings to rough-house with. Barker: sometimes - barks at other dogs, but it his way of communicating. Needs a home with another dog: not a necessity but would love a friend Can live in an apartment: no Backstory: Zeus was found after he had been hit by a car. A friend of our rescue partners found him outside of her house lying on the street. She called our rescue partner who immediately went to pick him up to take him to the hospital. Even though Zeus was injured he was extremely noble and kind from the second we met him. Zeus has fully recovered from all of his injuries and is now ready to find his forever home! Zeus is a very loving, playful, and affectionate dog who loves giving and receiving love. He is very treat motivated and thrives with positive reinforcement training. Due to his breed, we think he would do best with a family that can give him a job, and sign him up for different types of training ie. agility, scent-training, dock diving etc! Zeus is good at home; He is very clean and understands rules and respects them. If you are looking for the perfect mix of loving and active, Zeus is your guy!
