Zena

Zena is looking for an adopter who shares her motto "there's no place like home". She is crossing her paws for a quiet home, on a quiet street, with a yard she can call her own. Going out is SO overrated, don't you agree? All the happiness a dog needs can be found at home, with a good human to love. Zena is happiest on a couch, with a companion and a yard to sniff and run in when the mood strikes her. If you have ever considered backyard agility, you are going to be blown away at how high she can jump from a stand still. Enrichment and chew toys go a long way for Zena, she is easy to please. She is praised as being the perfect house guest by her foster and several temp fosters when her main squeeze is out of town camping. As a homebody extraordinaire, Zena prefers not to go hiking, biking or rollerblading, despite what her lovely long legs might have you thinking. No ma'am/sir, it's Prozac and repose for this lady. Zena is on medication to help her navigate her various anxieties about the world, and she is a much more serene version of herself for it. Zena has been working hard to get ready for her forever home. Just recently she was working on the art of doggie meditation (have you heard about deep breathing exercises for dogs?). Right now, she is working on expanding her social circle by making a new doggie friend. She has been having her friend Bella over for cookie parties on the weekends, and it's helping ease her social anxiety. Next up, Zena is planning to get up the courage to show interest, and engage, while preserving her inner peace. In hopes of becoming the very best version of herself, she is hoping to find a pet parent who will continue to support her once she goes to her new home.
