My Story

***Zelda is a member of the Lonely Hearts Club and her adoption fee has been paid by a generous donor! If you are interested in giving this lonely girl a shot at a forever home stop by and visit her today! *** Looking for a new furry friend? Look no further than Zelda! This friendly and playful pup is a two year old spayed female Beagle/Pointer mix who loves the water, playtime, and belly rubs! Zelda is a very affectionate dog who is full of energy and love. She is also an incredibly intelligent dog who is always eager to please. Zelda is very high energy, and needs an owner who can provide her with an active lifestyle. While she's down for cuddles at the end of the day, this is not a dog that can sit at home all day. If you're looking for a running buddy, Zelda is definitely your girl! Zelda initially came to us as a stray, which means we don't know much about her history. We don't know what training she has received, and since she is so high energy, she will need an owner willing to work with her to ensure she's not causing too much trouble. We also don't know if she's lived with other animals previously. At the shelter, she has not seemed to like other dogs, and while it could just be the stress of this environment, we will require a meet and greet with any other dogs in the home prior to adoption to ensure everyone's safety. We have noticed, though, that she does not like cats at all, and will not be adopted to a home with any felines. Zelda can be slightly timid with new people as well, though the "stranger danger" attitude doesn't last long before she is begging you to play and rolling on her back for some amazing belly scratches! We also recommend a meet and greet with any children in the home, as Zelda's high energy and tendency to jump might scare small kids. Zelda is already spayed and has had her first round of vaccinations, which means she is up for adoption and ready to get outta here! If you're interested in Zelda or want to know more, please get in contact with the shelter or stop by to see her. Zelda can't wait to meet you and shower you with kisses!
