Zeek

Zeek is approximately 9 months old in these pictures taken May 10, 2008. He was found by a family in November who kept him because their local shelter was full. They kept checking back and were told that they could bring Zeek to the shelter, but he would more than likely be killed as they were still full. The family contacted us after they decided that they just couldn't have another dog. Because Zeek was small and we happened to have a foster home open, we took Zeek in.

Zeek is very loving and friendly. His size, 15 pounds, makes him the perfect lap baby. He is almost housebroken and needs just a bit more practice. Zeek is doing great and gets along with the cats and dogs. He loves to say hi to all the neighbors. A smart dog, he comes when called and walks well on a leash. He seems to be crate trained. He is very energetic and playful. Zeek can stand on his hind legs - a very nice trick.

May 20, 2008 - Update from the foster parents:
Zeek is a lover. He loves being around people. He loves one on one attention, but also loves to play with other dogs and cats. Zeek loves to take walks on a leash and loves to meet all the neighborhood children. He still needs a little work with house training, but he is crate trained. Zeek lets us know when he is ready for bed by walking to his crate to be let in and goes directly outside to potty in the morning. He is a joy to foster because he is very adaptable and trusting.
