Zed

Zed arrived at the shelter with his brother Zander. This hound mix (maybe beagle and others) is friendly with everyone! Approximately 9 months old and about 30 pounds and as of July 2024, Zed puts the “tri” in “tricolor.” He’s all puppy, ready to play. For a young dog who hasn’t had much training, he’s fairly calm on the leash. Zed likes to lie in the grass and has an endearing way of occasionally throwing himself to the ground during his walks so that he can get a good belly rub before continuing. (We're not sure why, but he's recently become fearful of the environment outside the shelter gate. We're confident that once he's acclimated to a new home and family, he'll become more adventurous again.) Zed would do well with an active family who’s ready to give him lots of puppy training. He’ll reward them with love and companionship. We think he’ll learn fast in his forever home. A fenced in yard would be ideal. He's at a great age to be adopted--no more teething, but still full of puppy wiggles and fun. Zed is up to date on vaccines and neutered.
