ABOUT ZAVALA Last month, 9 adorable pups were found abandoned on our property, as our staff were heading home for the night. Thankfully, we were able to find loving foster homes for them all, including Mara and Zavala! They were only about 6 weeks old, covered in fleas, smelled of urine, underweight, and had large bloated bellies. Their foster mom, Elizabeth, provided them with the treatment, care, and love they deserved. Now, they are nearly 10 weeks old, healthy, and ready to find their new families! They have been thriving in their foster home, check out what their foster mom has to say about them: "They are doing so much better since receiving their treatment! Mara and Zavala are very sweet puppies. Mara is a cuddly female, she has a gorgeous black coat and small markings. Zavala is a goofy boy with black and white all over. Mara has the cutest underbite, while Zavala has the floppiest ears around! They are doing well with potty training and are very food motivated. They are learning to 'sit' and 'come' when called. They enjoy "talking" to each other, which involves some sassy barks or whines lol" **Mara and Zavala can be adopted separately and are not bonded. Their foster mom has another dog, which they are just as content to hang out with! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
