6/4-Zane has moved to rescue w/ UMGDR!!!
ZANE IS IN URGENT STATUS AND MUST FIND H IS FOREVER HOME BY JUNE 3, 2009 OR HE COULD FACE EUTHANIZATION. ZANE WAS RECENTLY PICKED UP AS A STRAY IN JONES COUNTY. JONES COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. ALL DOGS ARE HELD FOR 7 DAYS. AFTER HIS HOLD TIME, ZANE MUST HAVE A FOREVER HOME, RESCUE OR FOSTER HOME TO GO TO. ALL OF AWF'S FOSTER HOMES ARE FULL!!
This amazing and beautiful boy is Zane. Zane was recently rescued off the busy highway by a kind motorist and we're so thankful he wasn't hit by a car!!
Zane is approx. 8-12 months old and weighs 40 lbs. Zane is a great big, giant sweetheart and everyone that has met him has already fallen in love with him! It appears that Zane has had someone work with him because he knows sit and is minding the girls at the clinic very well. Zane may also be house trained as he tries his best to keep his kennel clean and really wants to go outside.
Zane will require a family that is ready for a big dog and has the room in their heart and home for a big dog. Zane will need an active family, as we're sure exercise will be one of his favorite past times. Though it's not a requirement, we are looking for Zane to have a fenced in back yard. Zane also made a special request that he must have a family that loves to give away (and get) kisses, as he is such a lover. So, if you are looking for a new family member to love and cherish for all of his days and you are able to keep Zane safe and secure, please contact Jen at 319-480-0945 or
[email protected].
INDOOR HOMES ONLY!!!!
The first step to AWF's adoption process is to fill out an Adoption Application.
To download our adoption application, please
click here. Completed applications can be sent as an attachment to
[email protected] or faxed to 319-393-0056.
Zane's adoption fee is $90.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, tested for heartworm to ensure they are negative and are on flea and heartworm preventative.
No adoptions outside of an approx. 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids. In some instances, we are able to make an adoption outside of the radius work (but this varies on a case by case basis and may depend on where you live). The limited radius is instilled due to a mandatory home visit needing to be done at the adoptive home by a rescue volunteer.
Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we can not guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
