Zak

Zak is looking for a foster or adopter as soon as possible. He is a super sweet, friendly 6 month old male mixed breed pup who was found with his sister alone in the high desert near Pinedale at 5 months of age. His sister has been adopted, but Zak has lived the past month at the local animal shelter, and is desperate for human and canine company. He's about 30 pounds and will likely top out at around 35 pounds when fully grown. He appears to be some type of herd dog mixed with a tiny bit of husky. He loves people and has good recall so far. He is just learning about leashes, but wants to be with humans, so he should be excellent on leash with minimal training. He ignores cats and is good with other respectful dogs. He likes car rides and loves to play, but his favorite thing is to curl up and lay his head in your lap. We don't know if he is house trained yet, but if not, he'll catch on very quickly.
