How about a Zachery PUPdate??????
It’s been just over a month since Zachery made his way to Houston after witnesses saw this baby get hit by a car.
His pelvis was broken in multiple places, his femur in pieces, his poor tail was in 3 parts.
Thankfully, experience has taught us a lot in 17 years in rescue, and with that a vet in Dr. Hendrix that has been with us thru the all too many hit by car injuries.
Zachary’s process is slow, but patience is everything with these type of injuries.
He has been such a good little guest in the infirmary was my formal dining room.
His outside time has increased by a few minutes and a few more times daily, his sutures have been removed, and I am doing everything I can to get meat on his bones, but the hip bones are still visible, just not as bad as before.
Zachery is beautiful, sweet and a talker.
His coloring and single blue eye make me certain he’s got Blue Merle in his background.
Walking is good and spins are happening.
