My Story

**Don't I have a sad face???? It is amazing this dog has survived, who is a approx. 2 year old dog, that weighs 90#. She is blond/creme with gold eyes. She was chained outside & used for breeding. THIS IS HER STORY: (Part 1) They called me a no-good ugly dog. That I didn't have enough puppies. They dragged me from the barn and my last puppy too. They pushed us in a truck and drove us along way, then threw us out and drove away. I'm really scared, the sun is hot on my itchy skin and my ears hurt too. The puppy sucks on me, but there is no milk left. She cries. We lie down by the road, the sun is so hot. **Soon another truck comes. They stop and put us in it, they have kind voices and we go to a "shelter" . They take my puppy away and put me in a crate, but at least it is cool and I have water & food. I hear them say "We'll have to put her down, she is just too shy". Days go by.......When they clean my crate, I just lie flat on the floor. I cry if anyone touches me. "It's my last day", they say. **Part 2: The lady from SAFE & her friends had to pick me up to load me in the van. They talked to me and said they rescued my puppy too. When we get to Jeannie's house, she coaxed me to things called steps. I never went up them before. Jeannie half-carried & lifted me up them. We went into a bathroom and she got me in the tub. I never had a bath. I wouldn't move, I just laid there. Jeannie sang & hummed the song "Amazing Grace" to me as I got a bath. It calmed me, the bath felt good, but I was so scared. She said I had a skin infection and ear infection. Most of my hair fell out. She gave me medicine. I met a cute Jack-Russell (Toby), now he's my best friend. Jeannie gave me rawhide bones, bisquits, toys and lots of love. She said we're going to take it slow. I've never been in a house before, so everything is scary. She said she was naming me Gracie, because it was amazing I made it this far. I am trying to be a good girl. I'm trusting people more everyday. My hair is even starting to grow back. She says that I am like a 90# puppy, because I never got to be one before. Gracie's adoption fee will be $250.00, and can be viewed at Petsmart on Wed. from 12:00-6:00pm or BY APPOINTMENT. Any questions, please call Jeannie as her internet isn't working.
