Meet Yogi! In October 2024, we rescued 12-year-old Yogi from Baldwin Park Shelter, where he had been brought as a stray. He is a fun and quirky little guy that needs a family who will be patient and give him time to settle in and feel comfortable. Might you be the understanding forever family Yogi needs? Yogi has been thriving in his Foster home. His Foster Mom reports it took a few weeks for him to get completely comfortable with her. Now, they share cuddles and kisses, and he is her little shadow! She is continuing to work with Yogi to be comfortable with others, and he has come a long way, although he can still get a bit scared. Yogi is noww allowing others to touch him now without reacting, and this is tremendous progress! Yogi is great with other animals! He gets along well with the dog in his Foster home and with other dogs and cats he's met. Yogi has somewhat limited hearing and sight, but he knows where his bed is and even puts himself in his soft enclosure at night. He doesn't have separation anxiety. Because he has no teeth, Yogi uses his gums and floppy tongue, so he needs a bigger bowl for his food. He's a foodie who gets so excited during meal prep that he starts dancing around the kitchen! Yogi loves going outside, and as long as he goes out every few hours, he doesn't have potty accidents. He walks to the door but doesn't vocally alert you when he needs to go. He's the sweetest boy, who loves to sleep and eat. He does zoomies when his foster mom gets home from work. Yogi is ready for his forever home! A little patience pays off with this sweet dog who really wants love and attention.
