Yama

Yama was a pregnant stray that was picked up by Animal Control. She came into the shelter the end of September and on October 17th gave birth to 4 girls and 2 boys. We gathered Yama and her 3-4 day old babies on October 20th. Yama is a beautiful setter/golden girl - approximately 2 years old and 55+- pounds . Her foster family has worked very hard with Yama and she is housetrained, knows some commands and is an all around wonderful well-mannered young lady. Foster News: Yama is a female, approximate 1 year old, mix breed (lab and setter maybe) about the size of a lab. She is sweet, calm, crate trained, and loves to curl up on a couch or bed with you! She knows sit, down and off! We are working on heel and stay. She is a very smart dog that is learning quickly. She is good with children, and has been around twin six year olds and thought they were great to follow around. Inside the house, she is calm and likes to chew on her toys and watch me cooking, as there is always the chance that something will fall on the floor of course.
