My Story

Affectionate, adorable and great with other dogs, an awesome car rider and a quick learner, Ximena is the perfect pup! Introducing Ximena, the spunky 7 month-old Lab and Pittie mix with a personality as big as her heart! She's a smart, fun, and playful girl who also enjoys a good snuggle session with her people. Ximena currently weighs in around 36 pounds, but we believe she’s still growing. Ximena is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Watch Ximena here: https://youtu.be/CZT38kEW7QE?si=TFhfzZlkkMiVLV6m While she may be smaller in size, Ximena's spirit knows no bounds. She's a social butterfly who loves nothing more than meeting new dogs, though she's a bit much for cats. With her playful nature and adorable antics, Ximena is sure to capture the hearts of everyone she meets. Ximena can be a little shy at first with new people, she’ll back into “her person,” or get just behind them, and bark, but she’s easily won over with treats and soft voices. It took Ximena about 2 minutes to warm up to me, I let her approach me and sniff, while allowing her to be “invisible,” and then gave her a little treat, and told her she was pretty. I had a new best friend immediately. Ximena is a rescue, a little apprehension with strangers is totally understandable, we don’t know her history. We do know that she has a truly remarkable spirit, and doesn’t allow her history to prevent her from making all the friends, getting all the pets, and meeting all of the new doggy friends she can meet. Ximena is a joy to be around, bringing laughter and love wherever she goes. With her quiet nights in the crate and her affectionate nature, Ximena is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a furry friend to share in life's adventures. Ximena’s foster family reports 0 accidents in the house, and a good understanding of the crate. Ximena eats her meals in her crate, and sleeps there at night. This perfect little pup puts herself to bed at bedtime, trotting off to her crate with her favorite chewy in her mouth. Ximena is described, by her foster mom, as “the best doggy in the car,” she’s a world-class car rider, she settles quickly in the back seat and sits calmly and quietly the whole ride. She’s polishing her leash skills, learning basic commands, and really growing up to be a great dog. This girl is such a fast learner, so loving and eager to please, and incredibly food motivated. When it comes to playtime, Ximena plays with the best of them! She’s great at playing fetch with her humans, and playing “keep away” with her doggy foster-siblings. Ximena is also a STICK DOG, she forages for the perfect sticks to play with in her back yard. She’s such a nature girl, and we love that for her! Ximena also has a silly habit of hopping and perching like a goat, all four paws at once, Ximena will perch on anything that looks fun. Ximena is such a joy to be around, she has so much heart, personality, and the biggest sweetest brown eyes. A pure-bred Chocolate Lab for a father and a Pittie mix for a mom, her lineage is somewhat known. She will likely be ~60 lbs when full grown, but we can't make any guarantees. Ximena is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with training and daily exercise. Ximena currently lives with a teenager, and we believe her to be best suited for a home with older kids, 10 and up. Ximena does so well with other dogs, and we’re confident that she would integrate well into just about any pack, but she’s not so good with kitties. Ximena currently lives with Guinea pigs, and knows to leave them alone- she’ll do well in just about any animal-lover’s home. Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to travel to her forever family in the PNW or NE areas. With her affectionate nature and goofy antics, Ximena is sure to bring endless joy and happiness to any home lucky enough to welcome her in. So what are you waiting for? Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
