Xena, the Warrior Princess, is a darling little girl and a loyal companion destined for something better than tagging along with her mother through the streets of the hood. She is happy to have consistent food, TLC and a safe place to call home, where she enjoys playing with toys and other dogs.

Xena is an affectionate, wiggly, expressive ten-twelve-week-old little puppy with a cuddly, soft coat who likes to give puppy hugs and kisses. We do not know her breed mixes, but her mother resembled a red Chow/Finnish Spitz type mix. She will likely be about 40-50 lbs. fully grown.

Xena quickly adapted to crate training, and is doing excellent with her house training given regular potty breaks. Between naps, she is very much "all puppy" ~ always busy, looking for fun, adventure and full of puppy antics. She likes to play with other dogs, but is also good about entertaining herself with toys and chew treats. Little Xena is attentive, responsive and willing to learn. She needs a home with people who have time for her, and who are devoted to supervising, socializing and training her to bring out the best she can be. She will benefit from social outings where she can interact with other dogs and people.

Xena is scheduled to be vetted and spayed this week. If paired with another dog, a male may be best, as she seems like a future leader. She is still in the bouncy, mouthy stage, so a home with no kids under eight years old is preferred.
