Hello, I'm Xena! I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can truly thrive and share my unique personality with a loving family. I was surrendered to the shelter because my previous owner was moving and couldn't take me along, but I'm excited to find a new place to call home. As a cattle dog, I come with all the breed's typical traits, including a bit of attitude. A family experienced with my breed would be absolutely ideal! I'm a bit of a bossy girl, but with some guidance and training, I know I can learn to be a bit more relaxed. If you're up for working on my behaviors with me, I promise I'll reward you with loyalty and love. I might be a bit shy when we first meet, and I'll need a few visits to really warm up to you. But once I do, I'm ready to be your best friend. I'm a big fan of treats and tennis balls-these are my go-to ways to show my excitement and joy! I'd prefer to be in an adult-only home or one with older kids who can give me the space I need while I settle in. I might experience some separation anxiety if left alone, but my friends here can help explain how to manage that when you come to meet me. I've previously lived with a cat and absolutely adored them, so if you have a feline friend, I might just be the perfect match!
