My Story

Hi there! My name is Xander. I'm a 1 year old blue mantle male great dane. I came to rescue after my mom moved away when her husband died in a car wreck and left me and my fur sister behind in our yard. Luckily we had nice neighbors who helped us find a safe place to go. I'm now in a foster home and my foster mom says I'm a VERY sweet boy! I'm currently around 120 lbs but very much underweight so they say I'm going to be a big boy once gain my weight back and finish growing.

I'm good with other dogs and friendly with people although new things make me a little nervous at first. I quickly warm up to new people after meeting them though. My foster mom says I'm still a BIG puppy so I may be too goofy to be with small dogs because I like to use my paws to play. She's not sure how I'll be with kitties yet. I love long morning walks and long afternoon naps. I do okay on the leash but could use a little more training. I do know what "no" means as well as how to "sit" and "down". I also very much enjoy car rides and giving kisses!! Foster mom calls me a velcro dane because I love to be near my people. I'm house trained and crate trained. Remember though, I'm still a puppy so if left out of my crate unattended I may chew on things. Foster mom says I'm an absolute joy to live with and that I'd probably do best placed with another dog as I enjoy their companionship. Please contact my rescue friends if you are interested in making me a part of your family

Xander's adoption fee is $300
