My Story

Meet Wyatt! He is 3 year olds and 80 lbs of lovable boy. Wyatt has tons of personality! He's affectionate, loyal and an overall goofball! He loves to be where the action is or be near his humans. But that can also mean just hanging out on the couch binging TV, watching you do chores around the house, or going for a car ride. He is very friendly and loves attention. He likes to go on walks and is leash trained. He does best with a head collar when going on leash (shown in photos - a part of the collar goes over the nose to provide more head control; this is not a muzzle). He would do great in a home that could help stimulate his body and brain, like going on walks, hikes or runs or having another dog to play with. Wyatt is house and kennel trained and knows sit, come, leave it, and free (command to go on and do his own thing). Wyatt is a lover - of life, of people, of other dogs. He can be a pretty excitable guy but he is a great learner and has spent time with a trainer working on toning down his excitement with people and dogs. He has made AMAZING improvement and his trainer is ready to help an adoptive family transition his training into his new home - showing Wyatt's new family what works best for him, how to structure a home environment, and introduce new dog friends. All this will help ensure a successful transition of his training and set Wyatt up for success. He does need a home without cats or small children. While he is incredibly friendly and loves children, he is a big guy and we think a home with kids 12+ years would be best for him. Wyatt is a great boy and would make a wonderful addition to almost any dog-loving family that can give a rescue dog the time and patience he needs to adjust to a new home and routine. He has so much love and happiness to share. Apply to meet / adopt Wyatt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.
