Woody

This handsome guy is Woody! He is a 3-year-old Heeler mix. Woodie is the embodiment of resilience. He came from a severe neglect situation into our care, during a routine neuter, he was diagnosed with cancer. He is now cancer-free after treatment! His type of cancer is rare in the US because we don’t have lots of strays roaming, and once it is treated, it doesn’t come back! He is expected to have a long and healthy life. Throughout his treatment, he always had a positive attitude and his loving personality continued to shine through. Woody loves to watch Netflix on the couch, play fetch, tug of war and soccer. He sleeps in our room next to his foster siblings and loves to herd his toys at bedtime. He is very good motivated and learns tricks fast, he currently knows sit, up and down, currently working on spinning, rolling and giving paw. He walks very well on the leash and enjoys to explore when we go to the park. He is very easy going and lets us give him baths, he loves getting pets and kisses. He is also a big fan of fashion! He loves to wear costumes and hats. Woodie loves kids and would love a family of his own with kids to play with. He also gets along well with other dogs. His ideal home would have a fenced in yard and a family who loves to play fetch. We can't wait to find this boy his furever home. Woody is available for adoption in both Texas and the Northeast.
