Woodrow is new to rescue and we are still learning more about him. He is an emaciated male that was an owner surrender to avoid an animal cruelty investigation. He appears sweet but has resources guarding issues surrounding food with his littermate. His starting weight upon entering the rescue was only 59 lbs. As of 5/8/2024 he is 4 years old.
He has been around livestock but would frequently run off in search of food or compete with the livestock for feed. As such, he is not a good candidate for a livestock guardian.
We are told he will climb a short fence so we are still testing the limits of his behaviors.
He still needs to be heartworm tested, neutered, and vaccinated. He began deworming treatment on 5/8/24. Check back with us on his progress!
