Hello, I'm Woodie. I'm a 2.5 year old Stafforshire Terrier/Lab mix. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, I'm the sweetest companion. I enjoy quiet moments, a good scratch behind the ears, and gentle walks. I'm mellow, not much into chaos or loud noises. I prefer the calm, the gentle rhythm of a peaceful day. I may take a little while to warm up, but once I do, I promise you a lifetime of loyalty and love. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
