Wobbles

We have a slew of amazing blonde dogs and Wobbles is certainly one of our top faves in rescue! This special needs guy is handsome as heck and he spreads happiness with every tail wag! Wobbles is our cerebral hypoplasia baby who was found wondering in the streets of Texas all by himself as a teeny puppy. An Earth Angel scooped him up and kept him safe until a rescue could take it from there. We are fortunate to have a very experienced foster on our team who loves the special babies… so here we are, seeking a very special family for our very special boy! Cerebral hypoplasia is not a life threatening condition and he’s as happy as a clam! His symptoms are an abnormal gait, broader stance, lack of coordination, a cute little head tilt, uncoordinated movements, swaying, and he’s just plain clumsy. There is no treatment, just patience to learn he’s a little different, but overall the best boy! Wobbles can be too much for some dogs. When playing he can come in kinda hot and it can be taken wrong by other dogs. He will need a tolerant resident dog that will learn his play style and correct him gently. He takes correction & social ques well, and is learning to respect space. He’s done amazing with kennel and potty training and has even earned no kennel status at night. He does a great job of telling his foster mom when he needs to go outside by using his bell. He would love it if you’d leave your shoes lay around as those are his favorite things to chew on and if your coffee table sits low enough, he will clear that off for you too! Wobbles does great off leash but will always need supervision so he doesn’t hurt himself. He’s currently working on his leash skills and was the star at our last meet and greet saying hello to everyone he could. He is very smart, a total people pleaser and very easy going. He knows a few basic commands; wait and stay. Commands haven’t been pushed overly hard though due to his physical limitations. Wobbles is the type of dog everyone should meet; his zest for life, even if he got a crappy card, is something you’ll never forget. He’s truly an amazing dog and reminds us we should all be incredibly grateful for what we have. The entire rescue will cry happy tears the day we find the family special enough to love him forever. *Wobbles’ foster mom is a behaviorist and trainer and is willing to help his new family learn and love him the best they can.
