This puppy was dropped off in our neighborhood Friday Jan. 2, 2009. I live in Gresham behind Owens Elementary. A neighbor has his sister who looks a lot like Frankie. We think somebody dumped the dogs off Here is what I know about the dog since I found him.

Name: (Named on Jan.3, 2009) Frank or Frankie
Healer, Birddog Mix, Heinz 57???
White with Brown Spots
15-25 lbs. will probably be a medium to large sized dog (est.45-70lbs fully grown)
3-6 months old
Very sweet and friendly, shy at first and loves people and attention. Somewhat housetrained (I let him outside every 2 hours) and sleeps in a crate or kennel (I think he is crate or kennel trained). Great around other dogs and cats. Quiet no unnecessary barking or whining. Calm but playful. Has not really chewed on anything but the other dog toys.

Does seem to mind and understand. I think Frankie will be easy to train as he gets older. Frankie will be a great family dog and works well both indoors and outdoors. He usually sleeps when he comes indoors and does not really tear anything up, but he is supervised when he is inside and out of his kennel. I took him to Gresham Veterinary Hospital and he was given worm medicine on Jan. 5, 2009. Will probably see about a vet checkup with shots and determine his health, age, and any other information the vet can give us. I have posted found signs in the neighborhood, but nobody has yet to claim him. Once again he is sweet, loves people, is great with other pets, somewhat housetrained (no accidents yet), will make a great family dog, does well inside a fenced yard. We are unable to keep him because we have 4 cats, a bassett hound, and a baby on the way so our hands are full. Taking on another animal is something we cannot do. He will be well taken care of, will sleep in his kennel inside the house out of the weather, and will be around our cats and bassett hound. We would like to give him and his sister as a pair, but we understand if that can't happen.
