My Story

NAME: WISH GENDER: FEMALE BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX COLOR: YELLOW AGE: 1 YEAR OLD WEIGHT: 32lbs SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes MICROCHIP: Yes If you would like to give WISH by a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos. Wish is a sweet and gentle girl! She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Wish has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, it doesn’t take her long to warm up. Wish has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Wish started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the doggie park. We are looking for a patient family that will continue to train and socialize her. Wish’s Rescue Story Wish was abandoned on the streets. There were no food and she must have been starving for quite some time. She was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. The rescue has a temporary shelter for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. She had a thorough medical checkup. She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Wish a loving home where she will never be left behind again.
