Winston (formerly named Skeeter) originated from the Des Moines area animal shelter. Life at a shelter with so many dogs is very stressful, and this little guy wasn't adjusting well, so now he is feeling comfortable and secure in a private foster home. In the shelter he dropped a little weight, but has a good appetite and will gain it back soon. Everyone who has met this little guy has fell in love with him, from the shelter staff to the temporary foster home he had in Des Moines before being moved to Nebraska. This guy is blue in color, and has a very nice shiny coat. He will be your best friend in your lap. Skeeter is only about 10 months old, and was turned in to the Des Moines shelter because his owner didn't have time to care for him. He has been around both dogs and cats and does ok with both. He hasn't had experience around children as far as we know. We don't know how his kennel or leash training skills are yet either. Skeeter will be fostered in Omaha, NE. Local adoptions are preferred.
Update: Skeeter is now about 1.5 years, and has come back to rescue. His adopting family returned him because he needed to much attention. This little guy is still sweet as ever, and doesn't want to leave your lap.
