Adopted 11/19/09
Winston has a cancerous tumor. He is being adopted by his loving foster family.
Update - Winston got his vet check today. He is heartworm negative and is now up-to-date on his rabies vaccine. He weighed in at 80 pounds and is a normal weight for his size.
Winston was turned in by his family because he caused too much chaos. Translation: he is a LIVELY, FUN-LOVING seven-year-old Golden. Several
energetic walks quickly calmed this friendly Golden ball of fluff in his new foster family's home. Winston can gracefully jump over a dangling laptop cord or catch a toy in mid-air. He is completely house-
broken with no accidents -- a first in his foster family's home!
Winston loves walks, watching his foster dad cook dinner, and having his fur petted and brushed. He craves attention so he needs to be in a home where he will not be ignored. Daily exercise is a must for this
big guy. He will be weighed soon at his vet check-up. Until then, his foster folks are guessing that he is at least 80 pounds.
Since Winston is a new addition to Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue, new details will be added as we learn more about this lovable guy.
All potential adopters need to complete our online application and participate in our pre-adoption review process, including a home visit, before being approved. In some cases, the specific dog you are interested in may have found a home before this process is complete or further assessment may find that this dog is not the right match for your family. We are regularly getting new Golden’s in need of a home, so we encourage you to apply and get approved so that when the right dog comes along you will be ready.
The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home.
Our dogs are fostered in private homes. WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY TO VISIT.
