Winnie is a spayed, 2-year-old female, 9-pound Terrier mix and her adoption fee is $695. Winnie is a local girl and was raised on the streets of Seattle in a homeless camp. When her person was admitted to a rehabilitation center, she was relinquished to 6dogrees Rescue. Winnie was very thin, and not healthy when she arrived at the rescue. After 3 months of care and love, she is ready for her forever home. Winnie enjoys going on walks, playing with toys, fetching balls, rough housing with other small dogs, and getting lots of attention from her people. Winnie will require: - A fully fenced and secure yard. - Ideally, another dog that needs a playmate. - Grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her coat beautiful. Winnie gets along well with dogs but is a bit rambunctious and does not understand boundaries. She will need a home with a patient family to continue her training and provide consistency. We are seeking a loving family that is familiar with small dogs and able to provide her with unconditional love throughout her lifetime. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, dogs should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Winnie is fostered north of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. The tax deductible adoption fee is not negotiable. The fee is needed in order for us to "save it forward" for the next dog. The fee covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, rabies vaccine. We seek the best "fit" home for our dogs. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the State of California while pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we “Save it forward”; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.
