Winkie

Winkie is a female Chihuahua mix who is looking for a new home. She came to the shelter due to house-training issues in her former home. The owner had gotten her after her previous owner passed away. Winkie originally was said to be around 14 years old but after a vet exam it was determined she is more around 6-7 years old. Winkie is doing well here with her house-training but needs someone who is willing to work with her in her new home. She seemed to do well with other dogs and loves people once she has gotten used to them. We are unsure how she is with cats or small children. Your first trip to the shelter will include visiting with the animal and if you choose to do an adoption, all the paperwork will be completed at this time and the adoption will be paid for. The second trip will be to pick the animal up once it is spayed or neutered, micro chipped etc and ready to go home. All of our animals are spayed/neutered BEFORE they leave the shelter. Because of our strict return policy if an adopter cannot keep an adopted pet, adoptions to homes more than 100 miles away will be considered on a case by case basis.
