Windy

Windy spent most of her life having puppies on a farm, not a puppy mill but a backyard breeder. She is tall & fine boned for a female Elkhound. She was not socialized before coming into our foster care program, so it takes a bit for her to warm up to people. She does not get along with other dogs well, and will start fights with other females (and some males). Windy needs to be your only dog. She is about 10 years young with lots of energy! She is crate trained, and knows basic obedience except leash walking which still needs work. She is terrified of the Vet's office, and for now she needs to be tranquilized when she goes there. We believe that she would be much better if a Veterinarian could come to her house! She is very loveable once she gets to know you, and loves to give as many kisses as you are willing to take! Windy comes when called outside even when she engaged something else, she's really a fabulous dog who deserves her forever home! She may be a bit older, though please know she's in great health.
