Willow von Wies

Willow von Wies is a gorgeous 14-16 month-old German Shepherd. She is the sweetest, kindest soul, and her eyes tell us that she is ready to find her people. Willow, her rescue name, perfectly captures the hope, belonging and strength represented in the Willow tree. She adjusts alongside life rather than fight it. At the rescue, Willow is an observer. Gently, she exits her kennel and contemplates her surroundings. She potties right away, so we think she is housetrained. Willow can start off a little shy but just give her time, she'll sit nicely while you give her a little love. She takes treats gently and is learning basic commands. She walks well on leash and takes her time when meeting other dogs. Once introduced, she walks happily alongside. In playgroups, she enters a bit cautiously, taking the temperature of the room, and eventually explores, returning to humans for some attention.
