Willow

Willow is something like magic. Found as a stray, she was incredibly scared, shut down and shy at the shelter. She would constantly try to bury her head into a volunteer's lap, almost like she was trying to hide from her situation. Everything is new to Willow - living inside, getting loved on by her fosters, and realizing that she can be relaxed and feel safe. Willow has come SO far in foster care and we have learned so much about her. She is an incredibly loving, loyal, sensitive and mellow dog. She truly wants nothing more than to be gently brushed by you while you're sitting on the sofa and taking life in. If there is some time for rolls in the grass on a sunny day and a neighborhood stroll, that would be the cherry on top. Our Willow really just wants to find her soulmate. Willow is: 2 years old 65lbs (should be about 70lbs) Dog Friendly People Friendly (she is great with all people, but she is shy - she won't bound up to you and kiss your face, but she will gently come lay on your lap) Wonderful on leash Good in the car Gentle with kids Willow's ideal home will be one where someone works from home or is retired and spends a lot of time at home. Our girl is still learning what it means to be safe so she does not like spending hours left alone. *Please note: Our dogs are fostered and vetted in Houston before going on transport. If we don't have an adoption lined up in one of our transport cities within 4 weeks of rescue, we transport to our team in Vermont, where our dogs have a higher chance of finding their perfect forever home. Once you fill out an adoption application, it will be screened by our team. From there, if your application is a good fit, our team will arrange a call and schedule a meet and greet or we will arrange transport.
