Willie *Foster to Adopt*

Introducing…. Willie! Willie is a tannish brown chihuahua mix who was taken in by CRT, along with several other dogs, from a bust of a hoarding case in Georgia. Honestly, we don’t know if Wilie has any chihuahua in him. His face kind’ve looks like a golden retriever! But he definitely won’t end up as as big as a retriever. Currently, at nearly 6 months old, Willie is 12.5 pounds. He will likely get a little larger before he is fully grown. Willie LOVES to play with the other puppies in his foster home! He can play for hours! It would be nice for his new family to have a dog for him to play with, but he is not required to go to a home with another dog. Willie also loves playing in water. Willie is friendly and seemed to do well around children during his limited interactions with children at our local meet and greet events. It is not known how Wilie would do around cats. Willie does his business in the backyard without issue, however he is still working on potty training and will need to continue to work with his foster home on this to get it down pat. Willie has not yet had any leash training so his new family will need to work on this with him. Willie is healthy. Willie has been fully vetted and has received his age-appropriate vaccinations. Willie is too young to be neutered just yet, so he will be considered foster to adopt status until he is old enough to have the procedure done. Willie will be microchipped prior to adoption. Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative. Reference checks and a home visit are required so southeast dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA. Willie may also be considered for adoption in our midwest region (MI, MN, IL, WI, OH, KY) provided the right applicant is found and willing to pay transportation fees.
