My Story

Willie's story is very sad but will have a happy ending because Willie refuses to give up and is still a happy pup. Willie, his two siblings and his momma (see Rita) were dumped on a country road and left to die of starvation and thirst. The pups, knowing little of cars or donkeys or how to stay out of the way, wandered around and were injured. They were thirsty and hungry and were given only abuse until a neighbor noticed their plight. It was too late for two of the pups by the time a rescue could be done. But Wille survived, guarded by his momma but with a blow to the back of his head that left him with vision problems. The eye specialist has told us that Willie may regain some of his sight but he will always be a special needs pet. Willie will do just fine if he is in a home where he has safe secure boundaries and maybe an older gentle dog to act as his guide. Willie is gorgeous, his momma is a German Shepherd and it appears that daddy was a Belgian Shepherd. Willie is going to be very large if he grows into his paws. He has a sweet, playful, and outgoing nature and loves to be petted, held and talked to. He will cock his head and come to you if you call him. Willie seems to like his name. Willie is crate trained and loves his crate. We are still working on house training but he is coming along. He rides beautifully in the car, seems to really enjoy it. Willie is waiting for a family with a big heart. Are you ready? Please contact [email protected] for more info on Willie.
