My Story

Meet Willa, an enchanting three-year-old female boxer mix with a striking all-black coat. Weighing approximately 45 pounds, Willa possesses a perfect balance of elegance and strength. This beautiful girl is currently in search of her forever home and is hoping to find an experienced handler who can meet her unique needs. Willa is already house broke and crate trained, showcasing her commitment to being a well-mannered companion. She understands the importance of following house rules and is eager to please her future family. With her glossy black coat and soulful eyes, Willa exudes a captivating charm that is hard to resist. She enjoys the company of her humans and thrives in a solo dog and adult-only home. This setting allows her to receive the undivided attention and care she deserves, fostering a deep bond with her dedicated handler. While Willa may require an experienced handler, her loyalty and affection are well worth the effort. She craves guidance and structure, and with the right person, she will blossom into a devoted and obedient companion. In return, she promises to shower her chosen family with endless love and unwavering devotion. If you believe you have the necessary experience and understanding to be Willa's perfect match, we encourage you to reach out today. Provide this sweet girl with the stable and nurturing home she needs, and you will be rewarded with a loyal and lifelong companion. For consideration, please fill out an application using the following link: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
