My Story

Wilbur is a sweet, sweet little boy who has a strong will to get around and play like any other puppy. Poor Wilbur was born with a hereditary nerological problem called Cerebellum ataxia. He has very poor to no balance.. He has completely adapted to his condition, and knows nothing different. He plays like a puppy and loves to snuggle with you in your arms at nap time. He likes to play fetch with his big orange carrot toy, and will even bring it back to you. He loves kids, dogs and cats, and is very social with people. Wilbur spent the first part of his life with a wonderful family, who helped him learn how to walk, thay tried very hard to take care of Wilbur and meet all his needs, but with a growing family, and Wilbur getting older, they understandably couldn't meet all of his needs, so they made the tough decision to let us try to help Wilbur find the perfect home who can give him the time and special care he needs and deserves.

I would not suggest Wilbur for any one who has small children because he is just a baby himself and needs a lot of extra attention, to ensure his safety. He also could knock down unsuspecting little ones with his lack of balance. Taking care of Wilbur is like taking care of a 6 month old baby, making sure he isn't hurting himself, falling off high areas, and is able to reach his food and drink, and having a safe place to sleep and be when your not home..If you can make this commitment to Wilbur, he will forever show you how much he loves you and needs you. THERE CAN BE NO STAIRS FOR WILBUR.
